Christmas Fun - 2009
Christmas Time is my favorite time of year. These pictures are just some of the fun things we did over the Christmas Holiday!

The kids enjoy being able to help in the kitchen - we all participate in rolling out the dough and cutting the circle shapes, stuffing the tortellini, and sealing them.
The Finished product
It's fun being able to share with my family something that I learned to do in Italy, while on my mission - it also reconnects me to Italy and the memories of serving the people there.
We also made gingerbread cookies and decorated them. They didn't turn out too great looking but, it was fun making jokes about our broken gingerbread man and woman cookies.

Vancer has his first Junior High Orchestra Concert
Vance had his Christmas Concert last night. He is in 7th grade and plays in the intermediate Orchestra. He is doing really well at it - I am hopeful that he will continue to play the Cello. It gets difficult for him when he has to practice so much and he also plays the piano and takes lessons and plays basketball. Vance is my perfectionist. I enjoy his enthusiasm.
Vance Turns 47!!!
Vance had his Birthday today - This was his cake of choice from Walmart. This made things alot easier for me. This whole year Vance thought he was 47 and so he was kind of depressed on his birthday because he thought he was turning 48. But, surprise Vance you only just turned 47, so you are actually a year younger than you thought. That would make anyones day. Happy Birthday my sweet eternal friend and companion.
The kids are always way more excited than we are - you would never know it from this picture.
Yes honey, you can warm yourself by the fire. Just don't burn yourself!!

Year End Piano Recital
Vance was the only one of our kids this year that participated in the year end piano recital. We are proud of him for sticking with it! He switched teachers this year and is doing very well. This is his fourth year of taking lessons.
